Golden Five Football System

The basis of this system is betting in the Correct Score markets. This was quite a niche in betting some years ago but it’s now the third most popular football bet after outright match result and goal scorer. The vendor advises that, “I thought Correct Score bets were a bit of a ‘mugs game’ until recently but I can now see there are profits to be made if you bet selectively. The amount of free to access data online about football matches and team performance etc means that with a little research you can take calculated risks. As with all my betting strategies, this is based on common sense and, even more importantly, historical data. The foundation of this system is to back strong teams playing at Home. Statistically 1-0 is the most likely outcome of any match with around 17% ending on this score. The problem is this means low odds of course, so we really have to look for the Home Favourite to score at least two goals. In my research and testing there was a trend of the Home team conceding a goal in these matches, so I allowed for this in the choice of score lines to back. I eventually narrowed it down to five scores – hence The Golden Five. This is enough to give consistent wins – even allowing for those Away Team goals – but not so many that we are wasting stakes on results that very rarely happen.
