The vendor for this method states, “I started developing this system before the 2020 ‘Lockdown’ and initial results were very promising. Then along came Covid, racing stopped like most of the world, and I shelved it! It came about when I started looking at the results of various Tipsters to see if any were worth following. I didn’t want to have to pay for their services so referred to the free ones in Racing Post, daily newspapers etc. Some of them are so bad at picking winners you could actually use them as the basis for laying systems! In fact, I have one such idea in development.
To be fair to Tipsters, if they’re having to pick a winner in every race, they really do have a tough job. Studying form to predict likely outcomes of races isn’t too much of a challenge if the data is available, conditions are good and there aren’t too many variables. Trying to spot a likely winner in a low-grade Maiden race or one with form figures of 01-P, -0048, 637-P7 is like looking for the proverbial needle in a haystack.
So, the two principles behind the system are (1) to follow a ‘Tipster’ with a good, consistent track record and (2) to only bet on selected races. I chose a particular tipster where the results are good and also readily available. I actually prefer to use the term ‘Analyst’ rather than ‘Tipster’ here as Tipster suggests the man down the pub who calls you over to say ‘Don’t tell anyone this but Dodgy Donkey in the 4.40 is a dead cert to win.. the trainer told me!’. Whereas the “Analyst” does this job for a living and analyses the races and horses. The system provides full details of the selection process, including some examples.
